Scripting for After Effects - Part 1

The first of a two part tutorial is online. In this tutorial, I will walk you through the basics for creating scripts for After Effects. Scripts can help to speed up your workflow and make repetitive tasks quick and easy. If you've never worked with scripts before, I reccommend you check out all of the different things that they can do:

Batch Frame Scripts


Part 1 takes you through some of the basic JavaScript concepts to give you a starting point for creating your tools. In the second part, which should be online soon, will get into the After Effects specific code and we will go through the creation of a simple script for After Effects.

This tutorial is not going to teach you everything about JavaScipt, only the very basics, so after watching, I reccommend doing some research on your own. I also advise that you download the After Effects Scripting Guide.
