Scripting for After Effects Part 1

Have you ever wondered about creating scripts for After Effects? They can be a great tool for speeding up your workflow and making repetitive tasks simple and quick. The problem is, if you don't have any experience with programming, you might not have this tool available to you.

In this two part tutorial, I will walk you through the basics of scripting. The first part of this tutorial will be on basic JavaScript concepts, including simple functions, variables, arrays, if-statements and for-loops. The second part, which will be online soon, will contain concepts that are specific to After Effects which we will use to create a simple script.

If you are already familiar with JavaScript and only need to learn about integration with After Effects, you can skip this tutorial and go straight to part 2.
